PRODUCT IDENTIFICATION:
It is a transparent acrylic copolymer emulsion plaster primer. ÇKS Alçı Astarı can be used on surfaces of any kind. It deeply penetrates the surface, and improves the surface to reduce the consumption of the top coat paint. It prevents the surface from dusting, and improves the adherence to the top coat.
INTENDED USE: It is designed for applications over raw plastered walls such as concrete, aerated concrete, plaster, and putty, and for use on previously whitewashed and emulsion coated interior surfaces or surfaces with a tendency to dust
Surface preparation Prior to Application:
Remove all loose and flaky paint on the surface prior to coating.
Remove any traces of dust, grease, carbon black, and dirt on the surface, and if necessary, wipe and wash the surface with water.
Ensure the surface is thoroughly clean and free of any traces of dust, and avoid exposure to extreme wind or airflow and painting in windy weather.
The ideal surface and ambient temperature range is +5 to +30˚C
Application: Stir the primer thoroughly, and do not mix with any other primes or paints. Apply one coat ÇKS Alçı Astarı on the prepared surface thoroughly.
Thinning:
Add 50% (v/v) water to thin.
Drying: Full cure takes 12 hours (25°C and 50% RH)
COVERAGE: 1 kg of 50% thinned ÇKS Alçı Astarı covers 10-12 m² in one coat, depending on the surface conditions, and method of application.
POST-APPLICATION CONDITIONS: Surfaces coated with ÇKS ALÇI ASTARI allowed to cure for 12 hours before finish coating should be protected against rain, snow, frost, extreme heat, and physical impacts for 24 hours.
Do not empty the primer into waterways, drains, and sewers.
Contact the nearest ÇKS dealer for more information, and to find out how to dispose of the remaining paint properly.
Transport Information: Not subject to ADR-RID and IMDG transportation regulations.
Conditions for safe storage: Keep away from direct sunlight, rain, snow, extreme heat, humidity, and frost. In proper conditions, the product can be stored for a period of 2 years in its unopened original container.
Storage temperature: Store at room temperature
Freezing Point: Protect against freezing
Relative Humidity: 23±2°C; 50±5% relative humidity
Risk and Safety Phrases: R22: Harmful if swallowed, S2: Keep out of the reach of children. S3/7: Keep container tightly closed in a cool place, S24/25: Avoid contact with skin, and eyes. S29: Do not empty into drains. S46: If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show this container or label.
